Det har akkurat blitt annonsert at Dream Theater kommer til å spille ved High Voltage Festival i 2011. Dette er en festival som foregår i London, i Victora Park på østkanten. Den startet opp i 2010, og hovedfokuset er Classic Rock, Prog og Metal. I 2010 kunne man se band som Transatlantic, Opeth, Marillion og Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Undertegnede var på denne festivalen i 2010, og det var uten tvil en av de absolutte høydepunktene i konsertsommeren. Fantastiske matboder, vandrende øl og cider-selgere, og generelt god stemning gjorde dette til en festival jeg gjerne besøker igjen

Today is the day! We are very excited to be able to announce that Summer 2011 sees the return of High Voltage Festival, with two amazing exclusive UK festival appearances.
Saturday 23rd July will see an exclusive UK farewell festival show from classic heavy metal act Judas Priest who, for three decades have travelled the world putting on spectacular stage shows and thrilling audiences worldwide. Thirty one years after Judas Priest sealed their reputation as one of the worlds great festival acts with their legendary performance at the inaugural Monsters Of Rock event, the band have chosen High Voltage – the UK home of classic rock and metal – as the stage for their final festival show ever in the UK.
Sunday 24th July brings you another UK festival exclusive from one of the worlds leading progressive metal band Dream Theater. In a 25-year career, they have sold over 10 million albums worldwide and the headline appearance at High Voltage 2011 will mark the first UK performance of their new line-up following the departure of drummer and founding member Mike Portnoy.
As many of you will remember from last time, High Voltage is much more than just the bands. As part of the High Voltage experience High Voltage are pleased to announce the first two attractions onsite… Ace Cafe London Ace Cafe return to High Voltage Festival in 2011 following a great success this year , with Rock and Roll bands, a dedicated bar, food and seating areas all set within a recreation of the historic Ace Cafe London. The True Evel exhibition – Evel Knievel was the original daredevil, who defied the odds, thrilled audiences and was an inspiration to millions of people the world over. Now – for the first time – Evel’s original motorcycles, famous jump leathers, personal memorabilia, and untold photos and stories are being exhibited on a world tour for everyone to see and we are proud to present it at High Voltage.
